Maurizio Calcopietro is a seasoned IT executive turned angel investor, known for building bridges between the Brazilian and European startup ecosystems. He is the Managing Partner of COREangels Atlantic, a fund supporting Brazilian startups expanding to Europe through Portugal.

A graduate of the Angel Fund Launchpad program, Maurizio is launching COREangels SportsTech, a pan-European fund investing in innovative sports technology startups with validated product-market fit.

Maurizio co-founded the CIO Institute, has invested in startups via Curitiba Angels and REDangels, and sits on the board of the Luso-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, where he leads the Technology and Innovation Committee. He champions collaboration between innovation hubs in Brazil and Portugal, mentoring startups and catalyzing sustainable growth across borders.
